At Moriah, we understand the complex nature of mood and anxiety disorders and the struggle they can be for troubled teens and adolescents. Our goal for each troubled teen that comes to our programs is for them to gain the skills and knowledge they need to leave stronger, happier, and healthier. We help struggling teens develop the strength to effect real change in their lives.

We provide more than just treatment. While the clinical needs of each client drive treatment, we support the person as a whole. Our troubled teen treatment programs are fully supported, safe environments where teens can be free to reflect on and work through their issues.

Depression

Depression is more than moments of sadness. It affects how you feel as well as how you think and act. It causes deep feelings of sadness or loss of interest over longer periods of time.

Trauma

Trauma is a response to experiencing very stressful, scary, or distressing events. Trauma can be emotional and/or phsycial and can be the result of widely varied events.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a disorder that causes changes in the mood, energy, and functioning of teens. They experience intense emotional states that can last days or weeks.

School Refusal

When your teen has issues going to school or staying in school, there can be a number of reasons. School refusal is the result of overwhelming emotions that your teen may be experiencing.

Anxiety

Anxiety disorder symptoms can come on suddenly, are often repeated, and can interfere with your teen’s daily life. They often include fears about school, family, health or social relationships.

Self-Harm

Self-harming, also called self-injury, include any type of behavior where a teen intentionally harms themself. This behavior is an unhealthy way of attempting to cope with feelings.

Social Issues

Social issues can include body image and self-esteem concerns, as well as social anxiety or complex family issues. These are diagnoses that can cause your teen to struggle daily.
