Ilan Weinberg

Director of Professional Relations & Outreach

I’ve worked in the human services field for over twenty-five years with a focus on working with youth & families at-risk and in crisis.  My initial training was as a youth-mentor in inner-city Pittsburgh, followed by developing and running programs in a Brooklyn youth center, and serving on staff as a teacher & rabbinic counselor at a residential alternative high school program for close to a decade.  I bring my strengths in relationship building, individual counseling and guidance, working deeply with individuals to move them out of crisis, communication and case management to my work as Director of Community Outreach & Professional Relations at Moriah.

In my position, my goal is to act as a trusted partner with colleagues across the mental health space such as treatment professionals, pediatricians, school personnel, therapists, agencies, and families nationwide to provide excellent collaboration, client care, and treatment for those in their care.  It is an honor and an exciting opportunity each time we are able to become a part of the village working together to help an adolescent and their family heal and chart a better future.  I resonate with Moriah’s “with you for life” vision statement, caring for each individual before, during and after their time with us.

I enjoy being part of the Moriah team of caring, skilled professionals dedicated to providing struggling teens access to therapeutic residential treatment that meets them on their level and addresses the whole person with kind, compassionate, evidence-based care.  I welcome the opportunity each day brings to share our unique resource with an ever-expanding community of mental health professionals.  Our Community Outreach & Professional Relations Team looks forward to meeting and partnering with you, today and for life!
