Mara is an experienced healthcare professional with over 15 years of direct care nursing expertise. Joining Moriah Behavioral Health in 2021 as a Utilization Review Specialist, she quickly demonstrated her skills and dedication, propelling her to her current role as the Director of Utilization Review. Mara’s unwavering commitment and “don’t quit until the job is done” attitude have made her a valuable asset to the organization. Mara’s unwavering focus on Moriah and, more importantly, our clients, demonstrates her exceptional dedication.

Beginning her nursing career at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Mara gained experience in the Medical-Surgical department, specializing in Pediatrics. She then worked for several years at a long-term mental health facility with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, where her interest in mental health disorders blossomed. Mara’s passion for providing quality care to individuals facing these challenges has been a driving force in her career.

Mara is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and, since joining Moriah, she has obtained her Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN) certification. Her continuous pursuit of excellence and commitment to expanding her knowledge in managed care and utilization review highlight her dedication to delivering exceptional healthcare. Her family-oriented nature and profound love for animals, particularly her two dogs, are evident in her work and contribute to her compassionate approach.
